    Dam:
    FINNEANA of Stirling Ridge
    | AOA# 31414937  | Light Fawn  |
Finneana was bred to Sweet Pines Midas, a true black sire, and birthed her cria on 6/30/2022. Sadly, she passed on to alpaca pastures in August. As a take-off on her name, her medium fawn little girl is called Orfinn Annie. We are hoping Annie carries on her mama's long tradition of beautiful fleece.

Her 2021 histogram is in--see in sidebar. Blowing us away with her fineness at her age!

2021 EPD results are beautiful (again)!
TOP 16% in AFD, value —1.166: her cria will likely have a finer fleece
TOP 20% in SDAFD, value —0.273: her cria will likely have a more uniform fiber diameter
TOP 14.3% in SF, value —1.228: her cria will likely have a lower spin fineness
TOP 17% in %F>30, value —4.623: her cria will likely have a lower % of fibers greater than 30 micron
TOP 4.5% in MC, value 4.508: her cria will likely have a higher frequency crimp than average
SDMC, value 1.691, assesses the uniformity of curvature
TOP 16% in %M, value —2.394, her cria will likely have a less % fiber medullation
95.5% for MSL, value —3.87 her cria will likely have a shorter staple length
58.8% for FW, value .053, her cria will likely have a slightly heavier fleece weight
BW, value 0.377, her cria will likely be a bit heavier for birth weight

Finneana has one of the finest colored fleeces on the farm. She catches everyone's eye when they visit the farm. Her light fawn color contrasted with her white head, ear tips, and stockings draws much attention. She's rather a showstopper. Finn has a pretty medium fawn daughter with rose gray legs and a white star on her head, named Eilonwy (eye-LON-wee). She is a doting mom with plenty of milk.

She has great genetics: Hemingway, Hemingway-Accoyo Nautilus, Sicuani, Caligula, Rosario, Karrington . . . and more! Her dam is a half sister to medium rose grey Premier's Absolute, with Cloud 9 Comet (MRG) and Rosario lineage. Her sire is the magnificent Accoyo-America Diomedes, who puts his gorgeous head and superior fleece on his babies. And Finnie is no exception. Added bonus: her markings show characteristic grey patterning. She has black skin on her muzzle. Might we get a gray?

She will sell with a reproductive guarantee, 1 month free boarding, 14-day live birth guarantee, free delivery within 100 miles, free positive ultrasound before delivery to your farm.

    ARI# 32304619 | DOB: 6/22/2011
We have recently acquired Antonio (Tony) and hope to produce a lot more color out of our white and light herd. So far he has given us a beige female cria (Vivianne) and a light brown female cria (Baeleigh), both out of white dams who have given us white cria before this, so we are very pleased!

He has now serviced Kaeleigh, Joeleigh, Annie, and Rhiannon for fall cria in 2025! All of these girls have spit off on successive weeks, so we are pretty sure we have 4 pregnancies. He seems quite po...

    Description

Annie was bred to true black Antonio! Her first breeding took easily. She delivered her first baby, a female cria now named SKYE, on 9/18/2025 with NO problems, an easy birth. And now Skye is packing on the pounds because mama is stuffed with milk (a GREAT genetic trait!) and is a very attentive mother. This price includes both Annie and Skye, now 6 months old (not weaned yet!). With their sale, you also get a half price breeding to one of our boys for Annie.

Annie has developed into an elegant young lady with stately carriage. She is a large girl. Annie's dam had tuxedo patterning and we've wondered with the right match if we could get grey. But true black Antonio produced a medium fawn baby this time! There is lots of black in the background of this cria.

Her 2025 histogram shows she has a Grade 3 FINE fleece with an almost 4" staple length. This grade is one of the most versatile, not too delicate but with enough strength to handle hats, mittens, socks, and much more! The comfort factor of her fleece is 91%, meaning 91% of the people wearing this next to their skin will find it comfortable. She has a LOT of potential! And her whole breeding career is before her . . . and she's just proven she can birth easily and provide plenty of milk for a fast growing cria, which makes life easy for the owner. Not all mamas have that ability. Ask me about that!

Her mother, Finneana, had both a silver gray grandsire and great-grandsire. Finn had the classic tuxedo patterning of a gray, but her fleece was light fawn and very fine. Annie's sire, Midas, is a true black. Between both parents there is a potload of great genetics: Victor, Pluro, Camilio, Legacy, Hemingway, Caligula, El Nino. There's also lots of color in her background with medium brown, dark brown, true black, dark rose gray, all the shades of fawn, so we think she can definitely throw color when the time comes.

In this package, Annie will come with a reproductive guarantee, her female cria at side, free transport to your farm within 100 miles, and a half price breeding fee if you choose to bring her back for her next breeding to one of our boys.
